Abstract

The research paper “Political Socialization of Youth; a Case Study of Multan” generalizes the agencies of political socialization and their impacts upon youth and render a bundle of information to those people who are not even the part of the formal educational institutions of the society. Life span is so dynamic that it cannot guaranteed that which stage of the life is suitable for political socialization but the agencies should not overlap one another rather they should work together for the collaboration of the society. Ongoing society must be the pre-requisite of socialization. Youth does not take part directly in the formal activities of politics and it is recommended that chance of participation in the decision-making process can strengthen the process of democratization. Human identity and significant skills are identified only by the process of political socialization. No Nation can progress if it had a large army of persons who are unproductive economically. The race of educational stardom should be discouraged because it is not the matter of educational repute rather it is the subject of socialization of the individual. A strong bonding as well as an active participation in politics can be seen in those families where youth spend much time with their parents of political background. Parents should keep an eagle eye on the activities of the adolescents especially when they are spending much time outside the home. Heavy responsibility fell on the shoulders of the different heads of the religious institutions that what kind of religious education they are storing in the young minds. The religious institutions should mobilize the individuals for political participation and discourage the anomic activities among the youth against the state. Youth recognize the role of the media significant because the democratic norms are promoted by many news channels but there are also some apprehensions regarding the biasness of these channels with respect to their culture and modernization. It should stop fanaticizing the risk glorifying behaviors, sexual contents and the negative portrayals of substance. Education can be considered as the stabilizer of the society and it is the only means of social, political and economic development. Universalization of education is almost promoted by all the modern societies of the world. Change is inevitable in society and if the positive change comes in the educational system, then the whole society will move forward in a progressive manner.
