Withdrawal Policy

Manuscripts submitted to SiCL should represent original work that has not been published elsewhere and is not under review for publication elsewhere. Once a manuscript has been accepted and published, it is considered a final, archived document and cannot be withdrawn from the journal's records.

Pre-Review Withdrawal

  • In exceptional cases, if an author wishes to withdraw a manuscript after submission but before it has been reviewed, the author must immediately contact the editorial office with a clear and valid reason for the withdrawal.
  • The editor will evaluate the request, and if deemed appropriate, the manuscript will be withdrawn, and the author will be notified.

Post-Review Withdrawal

  • If the manuscript has already undergone review and the author wishes to withdraw it, the author must provide a compelling reason for the withdrawal to the editor.
  • The editor will consult with the reviewers to assess the validity of the withdrawal request. If the withdrawal is approved, the manuscript will be withdrawn, and the author will be notified.

Post-Acceptance Withdrawal

  • If the manuscript has been accepted for publication and the author wishes to withdraw it, the editor will review the reason for withdrawal and consider the potential impact on the journal's reputation and indexing status.
  • If withdrawal is deemed necessary, the manuscript will be withdrawn, and an announcement will be made to inform readers and stakeholders.

Final Decision

  • In all instances, the decision to withdraw a manuscript is at the discretion of the editor and will be made to uphold the integrity and reputation of the journal.
